Times have changed much during my lifetime. Decoration Day is one of the many traditions that has changed and is still changing from year to year. For those who are unfamiliar with this tradition, it has for many years been the custom of rural churches in Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee to set aside a special Sunday in the summer to remember those gone before.
